Puff stitches are worked for the hand portion of the glove, while single crochet stitch is worked for the wrist, all you need to know these stitches to make these beautiful gloves. These puff stitch fingerless gloves are the perfect gift to make to your loved ones or to yourself.

Materials

To create these puff stitch fingerless gloves, you will need a crochet hook of 3 mm and DK weight yarn.

Abbreviations:
Chain(s) = Ch
Single crochet = sc
Back Loop Only = BLO
Slip stitch = sl st
Stitch = st
Half double crochet = Hdc

Pattern of Puff Stitch Fingerless Gloves (make 2)

Row 1: start with ch11, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across the chains. [10sc]

Row 2: ch1, turn, sc in the same st, working in BLO, sc in the next st, repeat until the end, sc in the last st in both loops. [10st]

Row 3-30: repeat previous row, or until reach the wrist circumference.

  • Fold the piece in half and attach the two sides with sl st, turn it to the other side.
  • Now we will work on the hand part.

Round 1: ch1, sc in the same st, sc across the round, sl st to the 1st sc in the round. [30sc]

Round 2: (puff stitch, ch1, puff stitch) in the first st, ch1, skip next 2st, *(puff st, ch1, puff st) in the next st, ch1, skip next 2st*, repeat * across the round, sl st to the 1st st in the round, sl st to the next space.

Round 3: (puff stitch, ch1, puff stitch) in the first space, ch1, *(puff st, ch1, puff st) in the next space between 2 pairs of puff st, ch1*, repeat * across the round, sl st to the 1st st in the round, sl st to the next space.

Round 4-8: repeat previous round.

  • Let’s make decreasing for the thumb finger.

Round 9: (puff stitch, ch1, puff stitch) in the first space, ch1, skip next 2 pairs of puff st, *(puff st, ch1, puff st) in the next space between 2 pairs of puff st, ch1*, repeat * across the round, sl st to the 1st st in the round, sl st to the next space.

Round 10: (puff stitch, ch1, puff stitch) in the first space, ch1, *(puff st, ch1, puff st) in the next space between 2 pairs of puff st, ch1*, repeat * across the round, sl st to the 1st st in the round, sl st to the next space.

Round 11-12: repeat previous round.

Round 13: ch2, hdc in the first st, *hdc in the next st*, repeat * across the round, sl st to 1st hdc in the round.

Fasten off, weave in all ends.
